J.S.Cock A/S will soon expand its product offerings in Norway by marketing the VACOMASS® product line, in addition to the already successfully sold biogas flow meters and analyzers. This product line is aimed at optimizing the biological treatment stage in wastewater treatment plants.
J.S.Cock A/S is already a leading supplier of valves and sensors in various sectors such as oil & gas, industry, shipbuilding, hydropower, aquaculture, and stormwater management. In the wastewater sector, their primary focus has been on networks and pumping stations.
German technologies aimed at increasing energy efficiency are also in high demand in Norway, as wastewater treatment plants are known to be the largest municipal electricity consumers. Binder addresses this issue by targeting the area where approximately 60% of total electricity costs are incurred—the demand-based control and distribution of aeration air. For this application, Binder has developed and optimized low-pressure-drop control valves specifically designed for this purpose. Additionally, the dynamic oxygen controller, thanks to an intelligent AI-based algorithm, provides real-time process optimization and significantly reduces electricity costs for blowers. At the same time, the treatment performance is improved, and the impact of load shocks, such as those caused by heavy rainfall events, is significantly mitigated.
